Formed in 2004, The Bailey Team Real Estate's Commercial Division continues to expand and grow.

In 2008 we sold and closed over $10.5 million worth of commercial real estate, and handled leases valued at over $6.5 million, representing 34 buyers and sellers, and 37 landlords and tenants. We sold 24% of our own sales listings and leased 67% of our own lease listings in 2008.
In 2009 we sold and closed $12,150,612 in commercial real estate and handled leases valued at $3,167.855, representing 17 sales and 34 lease transactions. We sold 60% of our own sales listings and leased 65% of our own lease listings.
2010 had its real estates challenges. In 2010, we sold and closed six properties valued at $4,242,500. We sold 50% of our listings ourselves. Leasing-wise, we saw shorter terms. We've handled lease transactions valued at over $3.6M, representing 24 landlords and 9 tenants. We leased 67% of our own lease listings in 2010.
2011 was an amazing year for our Commercial Division. We sold and closed over $8M in commercial real estate, doubling our 2010 sales. We handled leases valued at over $8M as well, representing 17 landlords and 19 tenants. Of our 17 property listings, we leased 14 of them ourselves. These are incredible results for a small, boutique firm such as ours. We credit our hard work ethic and pride ourselves on our accessibility, knowledge of the commercial market, and outstanding service.
2012 was an outstanding year as well. We are working on our year-end numbers and will have an update shortly.

OUR COMMERCIAL TEAM
Gayle Bailey has extensive experience in the commercial real estate market, having represented clients in sales, leasing and development over the past 42 years, as well as with property management of multifamily, industrial, retail, flex and office properties. As an active real estate developer, he has been involved in the direct development of projects and in a consulting capacity with individuals and companies in several markets across the country. He is knowledgeable of all aspects of commercial land procurement, development and construction. Gayle has been a senior level instructor for classes in contract negotiations and marketing for the National Association of Realtors®, and has also taught classes for state Realtor® associations on tax deferred exchanges. He is on the Board of Directors for Leadership Fairfax Inc (LFI), and a member of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, Prince William County Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce, BNI, and Dulles South Business Alliance.

Peggy Duffy brings much experience to the commercial sector of the business. In addition to sharing responsibility for the Colonels Ridge and Pleasant Valley Road office condominium projects, Peggy's list of clients includes business owners and principals in need of retail, restaurant, office and warehouse/flex space. Peggy managed the sale and leasing of the retail space for the project for the Piedmont Commercial Center project in Gainesville, as well as current new construction offerings at Colonels Ridge. Having started her real estate career over nine years ago in the residential market, she understands customer service. She is not your typical commercial agent. In addition to being easily accessible and knowledgeable, she understands the demands of running a business and makes herself available to clients to accommodate their hectic schedules. She is a member of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, Prince William County Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce, BNI, and Dulles South Business Alliance, and working toward her CCIM designation.
